LinkSA was founded in 2008 when Australian Transit Enterprises purchased Barossa Valley Coaches and merged it with its Murray Bridge Passenger Services.[1][2][3] In March 2015, it was included in the sale of Australian Transit Enterprises to Keolis Downer.[4]
In October 2023, LinkSA was awarded new eight-year contracts to continue operating bus services in Barossa, Fleurieu, Northern Adelaide Hills and Mount Gambier, with the potential to be extended to 2035. The new contracts began on 1 October that year.[5]
As of November 2024, the fleet comprised 156 buses out of five depots, located at Murray Bridge, Mt Barker, Goolwa, Nuriootpa (Barossa Valley) and Suttontown (Mount Gambier).[7][8]
