Kudzai Sevenzo is a Zimbabwean actress and singer born in Harare, Zimbabwe.[1] She was recognized as a talented performer by actor Nyambi Nyambi Jr.
Career background
Kudzai Sevenzo's [2] career was launched by the African media house MNET on the television talent show Project Fame.[3] Kudzai competed against 16 contestants from across the continent. Kudzai Sevenzo was selected to be the sole representative of Zimbabwe and became one of three contestants who showcased their songwriting talent.[4] Kudzai made it to the penultimate round of Project Fame. Following this, she released her debut album titled 'On a Day Like This,' produced by Andrew Baird.[5]
She released her second album, Child of Africa, which was also produced by Andrew Baird.
TV
Kudzai anchored a magazine show on MNET called Studio 53,[6] which saw her traveling across Africa and exploring its cuisine, arts, and culture. The show allowed her to explore the diversity of Africa and interview Africa's first female president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.[citation needed]
