Hungarian footballer
Kornél Szűcs (born 24 September 2001) is a Hungarian footballer who currently plays as a defender for EFL Championship club Plymouth Argyle and the Hungary national team.[1]
Career
Diósgyőr
On 30 May, Szűcs played his first match for Diósgyőr in a 1-0 win against Mezőkövesd in the Hungarian League.[2]
In his first match, he immediately became the best player of the round.[3][4]
Kecskemét
In June 2023, it was announced that Szűcs will join Kecskemét, from the 2023-24 season.[5]
Plymouth Argyle
On 5 August 2024, Szűcs signed for EFL Championship side Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee.[6]
International career
Szűcs made his debut for the Hungary national team on 14 October 2024 in a UEFA Nations League game against Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Bilino Polje Stadium. He substituted Zsolt Nagy in the 87th minute, as Hungary won 2–0.[7]
