Brigadier-General John Arthur Tanner, CB, CMG, DSO (27 February 1858 – 23 July 1917) was a British Army officer. A Royal Engineer, Tanner was killed in 1917 by a German shell in France, whilst serving as chief engineer, VII Corps.
