Joelle Masirika (31 March 1988 – 3 January 2013) was an Congolese actress.

Biography

Born and raised in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Masirika commenced her film career in 2004 with her role in the movie Masirika la veuve [1]

Masirika became a notable presence in Congolese cinema, making a substantial contribution to the film industry. She gained recognition primarily for her roles in the films Le fils du président (2007), Mosinzo (2008), and Mwasi ya papa (2009). She was an active member of the group "nzonzing", where she held a significant position in the allocation of roles. [2]

Death

Joelle died on Thursday, 3 January 2013, in Kinshasa, at approximately 10 a.m. due to an illness. Her body was held at the morgue of the Ngaliema Clinic prior to the arrangements for her funeral.[3]
