Ion Swinley (27 October 1891 – 16 September 1937), born Eric Ion Swindley was an English actor, known for his appearances in classics and modern dramas and comedies.
The British Film Institute records seven films in which Swinley appeared between 1914 and 1936. In the first, a version of Trilby, starring Tree as Svengali, he played Little Billee.[4]
Swinley died suddenly at his home in Kensington on 16 September 1937, during the run of The Comedy of Errors at the Open Air Theatre, in which he was playing the Duke.[2]
