International figure skating competition
The ISU Junior Grand Prix in Switzerland is an international figure skating competition. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union, it is periodically held in the autumn as part of the Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
Switzerland hosted the 1997–98 Junior Series Final in Lausanne. There, American Timothy Goebel became the first skater in the world to successfully perform a quadruple Salchow jump in competition,[1] and the first American skater to land a quadruple jump of any kind in competition.[2]
