At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 13,109 in 3,655 households.[6] There were 12,572 inhabitants in 3,975 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 11,013 in 3,736 households. The most populous of its 14 villages was Now Khaleh-ye Akbari, with 2,135 people.[2]
