In January, he arrived for a trial with MTK Budapest,[2][3] and on 16 February 2021, the club announced his transfer from MŠK Žilina Africa.[4][5][6] In the summer of 2022, he travelled with the first team to a training camp in Slovenia.[7] He made his debut at MTK as a substitute against Diósgyőr on 9 September 2022.[8] He scored his first goal in the Hungarian Cup against Felsőzsolca.[9]
Nyíregyháza Spartacus
On 26 January 2022, MTK loaned him to Nyíregyháza in the hope of more playing opportunities for the rest of the 2021–22 season.[10][11][12] Four days later, he made his debut for the team in a league match against Tiszakécske, coming on as a substitute for Gábor Jánvári in the 86th minute.[13] He played a total of 9 games for Nyíregyháza.
On 22 July 2024, Godwords signed a contract with Slovakian club MFK Snina.[15] On 31 August 2024, during a league match against MFK Vranov, Godwords was shown a red card and received a three-week suspension following a confrontation with an opposing player.[16][17] Additionally, the match was overshadowed by racist chants from MFK Vranov supporters directed at Amedome, resulting in a €700 fine imposed on the club for the behavior of its fans.[18] Godwords returned to the squad on 29 September 2024 in a match against MŠK Lučenec.[19] Six days later, on 6 October 2024, he scored his first goal for MFK Snina in a league match against Poprad.[20][21]
