Genki Yamamoto (山本 元喜, Yamamoto Genki, born 19 November 1991) is a Japanese professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team Kinan Racing Team.[2]
Yamamoto won the third stage of the Tour de Hokkaido twice while still a student at the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya, first in 2010[3] and again in 2013.[4] He won the Under-23 Japanese National Road Race Championships twice in a row in 2010 and 2011.[5] He joined Vini Fantini–Nippo in 2014[6] and stayed on as it became a Professional Continental team starting in the 2015 season.[7] He was named in the start list for the 2016 Giro d'Italia.[8] He transferred to the Kinan Cycling Team for the 2017 season.[9]
