Flexiv Ltd. is a robotics company[2] founded by Shiquan Wang in 2016[3] that manufactures adaptive robots.[4] The company's primary products include Rizon and Moonlight robots.[5] It also manufactures end effectors and grippers.[6] The firm originated out of Stanford University,[7] and it once used Nvidia's Isaac Replicator.[8]
Headquartered in Shanghai,[9] Flexiv has established operations in the U.S.[10] and Singapore.[11] The company was financed by Plug & Play Ventures,[12] Gaorong Capital,[13] and YF Capital.[14] In the second half of 2020, it began mass-producing robots.[15] In the same year, it was included in an analysis report on cobots published by Frost & Sullivan.[16] In May 2024, the firm collaborated with Siemens.[17] In September, it attended the TAiROS Exhibition in Taipei.[18]
History
Flexiv was established in 2016. In 2019, it introduced the Rizon robot.[19] In the same year, it exhibited at the Hannover Messe.[20] In December 2020, the company completed a Series B funding round of more than $100 million.[21]
In June 2022, Flexiv became a unicorn company.[22] In February 2023, it participated in the IME West Show in California.[23] In September 2024, it developed an automated fish fillet shaping solution.[24]
