Deelman was the 2015 recipient of the HPDC Achievement Award, given with an invitation for a keynote address at the International ACM Symposium on High-Performance Parallel and Distributed Computing, "for her significant influence, contributions, and distinguished use of workflow systems in high-performance computing".[3]
She was elected as an IEEE Fellow, in the 2018 class of fellows, "for contributions to scientific workflow management".[4] She was named as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2019, "particularly for the design and optimization of scientific workflows in distributed and high-performance environments".[1]
