About

Teslar Software is a privately held financial software company headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas[1]. The company provides software for community financial institutions, with a focus on back-end automation for commercial lending, consumer lending, and deposit operations. The company is one of the largest fintech companies in Arkansas since 2023, according to Arkansas Business.

History

The company began as 3E Software and was founded in 2008 by Joe Ehrhardt.[2]

In 2019, the company graduated from ICBA's first ThinkTECH accelerator program where Teslar's demo won the Banker's Choice Award for Most Impactful Solution.[3] The company received investments during this time to help expand the business. The company has raised at least $952,000 in disclosed funding across multiple financing events since its founding in 2008, including accelerator participation and venture capital investments. The company remains privately held and revenue-generating.[4]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Teslar partnered with banker Jill Castilla of Citizens Bank of Edmond and entrepreneur Mark Cuban to create a free website (ppp.bank) for PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) borrowers to use to help with the 11-page PPP loan forgiveness application, which was considered intimidating and cumbersome by small businesses. Teslar built and designed the site.[5] The company also built other products during this time to help community financial institutions and small business borrowers manage these loans. Teslar processed 22% of all PPP loans in 2021 and returned 10x of most investors’ money in 2021.[6]

The company continues to expand its service offerings and presence in the financial technology industry.

Products and Services

Teslar Software is the developer of Teslar, a cloud-based SaaS platform that consolidates financial institutions' workflows, data, and documents into a single platform and automates banking functions frequently performed manually by operations teams. The platform is built to save time, improve the accuracy of data, and make information more accessible for the end user.

The Teslar platform is used by community and regional financial institutions across the United States and exclusively serves financial institutions.

Teslar's platform includes a set of core features, modules, and integrations. The company's module list includes capabilities for exceptions, loan origination, annual loan review, construction, criticized assets, internal loan review, portfolio management, and workflow.[7]

Teslar has integrations with major core banking systems including Fiserv, FIS, Jack Henry & Associates, Finastra, and CSI.[8] The company also reports a core and imaging integration guarantee. The platform also has a large integration library and integrates with other key banking systems to create a single platform for managing loan portfolios and banking operations.
