SuperJoris (born Joris Hendrik van der Lengte) is a fictional superhero appearing in a series of comic books published by the fictional Titan Height Comics. Created by writer A. Fictional Writer and artist B. Imaginary Artist, the character first appeared in Tall Tales #1 (March 2011). SuperJoris is best known for his exceptional height, which is central to both his powers and his public identity.

Within the comics, SuperJoris is depicted as a close friend and frequent ally of Hulk, with the two characters often teamed up in crossover storylines. The pairing has become a defining feature of the character and a recurring source of humour and heart in the series.

SuperJoris debuted in Tall Tales #1 in March 2011. The character was conceived as a gentle counterpart to more aggressive strongman archetypes, emphasising kindness and level-headedness over raw aggression. After a well-received debut, SuperJoris was given his own ongoing title, The Adventures of SuperJoris, which ran for several volumes.

A landmark crossover event, Big and Bigger (2014), paired SuperJoris with Hulk for the first time. The story proved popular and cemented the friendship between the two characters as a fixture of the franchise.

Joris Hendrik van der Lengte was an ordinary, if unusually tall, engineer from Rotterdam. After an accident involving an experimental growth serum, Joris found his already remarkable height increased dramatically, along with a corresponding surge in strength and durability. Rather than hide his differences, he embraced them, adopting the name SuperJoris and dedicating himself to protecting his city.

Standing roughly 3.7 metres (12 feet) tall, SuperJoris quickly became a recognisable figure, able to see over crowds, reach stranded civilians in high places, and stride across obstacles that would stop other heroes. Despite his imposing size, he is characterised as calm, polite, and endlessly patient — earning the nickname "The Gentle Giant of Rotterdam."

SuperJoris and Hulk are portrayed as unlikely but devoted best friends. Where Hulk struggles with anger, SuperJoris offers steady calm; where SuperJoris hesitates, Hulk provides raw force. The two are frequently shown sharing quiet moments between battles, and their contrasting temperaments form the emotional core of their team-up stories.

SuperJoris's abilities all stem from his enhanced physiology:

• Exceptional height: His defining trait, giving him extraordinary reach, an elevated vantage point, and an intimidating presence.
• Superhuman strength: Able to lift and move objects far beyond human capacity.
• Enhanced durability: Highly resistant to physical harm.
• Great stride and reach: Can cover long distances quickly and pluck people from danger at height.

His primary limitation is his size itself, which can make it difficult for him to operate in confined spaces or move discreetly.

Within the fictional world of the comics, SuperJoris is described as a fan favourite, praised for his warmth and for the humour and heart of his partnership with Hulk. Commentators in-universe often single out the friendship as the highlight of the franchise.
