Strongboi is an indie pop band formed in Berlin, Germany, in 2019 by Alice Phoebe Lou and Ziv Yamin. It began as a passion project between the two longtime friends, guided by a "super lo-fi vision" that made use of Casio keyboards and toy instruments.[1] Strongboi has self-released all of its music, including several singles and one self-titled album, strongboi (2023).[2]
History
Growth and debut album (2020–2023)
Following the positive reception of their three 2020 singles: Strongboi, Honey Thighs, and Tuff Girl,[3] the project expanded into a full band.[4] They recorded their debut album, strongboi, in a self built studio using borrowed gear from friends. [5]
