The company launched its mobile application in early 2020 as an EV charging aggregation platform, allowing users to discover charging stations, reserve slots, and make payments.[1]

Later in 2020, the company expanded into manufacturing EV charging hardware and operating charging infrastructure. Forbes India described Statiq’s model as combining proprietary charging infrastructure with third-party charging network integration.[1]

In 2024, co-founders Akshit Bansal and Raghav Arora were featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in the Industry, Manufacturing and Energy category.[2][3]

Funding

In 2020, Statiq received seed funding from Y Combinator.[4]

In June 2022, the company raised US$25.7 million in a Series A funding round led by Shell Ventures, with participation from Astir Ventures, VentureSouq, and Oyster Ventures.[5]

In February 2026, Statiq raised US$18 million in a mix of equity and debt financing led by Tenacity Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Shell Ventures, and RCD Holdings.[6][7]

Operations

Statiq develops EV charging hardware and operates public charging infrastructure across India. Its charging network includes alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) chargers installed at highways, shopping centres, workplaces, hotels, and residential properties.[1]

Its mobile application provides access to both Statiq-operated chargers and third-party charging networks.[1]

Inc42 described the company as a full-stack EV charging platform integrating in-house software with proprietary AC and DC fast chargers.[8] In 2025, Reuters reported that Tata Motors included Statiq among charging operators participating in its EV charging expansion strategy across India.[9]
