Comment: Winning or being a nominated for a Streamer Award is not enough to meet the notability criteria. Need in-depth coverage about him from multiple sources meeting the above criteria. Also, what he says about himself should be used sparingly and if he generally is private, best to keep that way. S0091 (talk) 19:25, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

Squeex (born 1996) is an American Twitch live streamer, YouTube content creator, and speedrunner. He is known for his energetic, comedic broadcasts and for speedrunning Super Mario 64 before moving into variety and party-game focused content.[1]
Career
Early streaming and speedrunning
Squeex began streaming part-time in the late 2010s while working in finance and mortgage-related jobs.[1] He initially focused on speedrunning Super Mario 64, describing the game as his breakout title on Twitch.[1] His streams emphasised humour and interaction with viewers as much as competitive results, and he later expanded into speedrunning other Nintendo and party games.[1]
Variety streaming and collaborations
After gaining traction as a speedrunner, Squeex broadened his channel into variety streaming while maintaining a focus on competitive party games.[1] He has described his approach as playing whatever interests him and relying on his own enjoyment to drive the tone of the stream, rather than primarily chasing viewership trends.[1]
By 2023, Tubefilter listed him in its "Streamers on the Rise" feature series, highlighting his presence as a party-game speedrunner and his growing collaborations with other Twitch creators.[1] He has appeared in multi-creator events, including tournaments and hosted segments at the Streamer Awards red carpet.[1] Squeex has also taken part in Twitch Rivals competitions.[2]
In April 2026, Squeex was announced as one of several streamers set to participate in the Northernlion Supercruise, a planned five-day Royal Caribbean event headlined by streamer Northernlion.[3] The event was canceled three days after its announcement.[4]
Institutional recognition
In 2026, Squeex was recognized at the NYU Game Center during a guest lecture event where he and fellow streamer Valkyrae announced a scholarship named in his honor, the “Squeex Scholarship,” intended to support students pursuing studies in game design and interactive media.[5]
Personal life
Before streaming full-time, Squeex worked in corporate finance and at the online mortgage company Better.com.[1] In December 2021, he was among roughly 900 employees laid off by Better.com during a widely publicised group Zoom call.[6] He later discussed the layoff with his audience and announced that he would focus on full-time content creation.[1][7] He has also referenced the Better.com layoff in broadcasts and related online clips.[1][8]
