Simran Kaur is a New Zealand social entrepreneur, financial education provider, podcaster, and author. She is the founder of a financial education platform called Friends That Invest (previously Girls That Invest), which was launched in 2020.^[1]

Kaur grew up in New Zealand and first studied to become an optometrist, obtaining a Bachelor of Optometry from the University of Auckland.^[2] She worked in optometry, then completed a certificate in Financial Markets through Yale University.^[3]
