Silly Nice is a cannabis brand based in Harlem, New York City. Founded in March 2024 by LeVar Thomas and Shane Breen, the company produces small-batch infused flower, bubble hash and THCa concentrates for New York's licensed adult-use cannabis market. Independent publications have described Silly Nice as Black-owned, veteran-owned and LGBTQ-owned.[1][2]

History

Silly Nice began operating in New York in 2024. In February 2025, Pipe Dream, the student newspaper of Binghamton University, profiled the company and reported that its products were available at more than 90 dispensaries in New York at that time.[3]

The profile discussed the company's participation in New York's legal cannabis market and its emphasis on opportunities for businesses and communities affected by cannabis prohibition.[3]

In January 2026, Cannabis Business Times included co-founder LeVar Thomas in an industry outlook featuring executives and analysts discussing the development of the cannabis market. The publication described Silly Nice as a Black- and veteran-owned craft producer operating from Harlem and serving dispensaries across New York State.[2]

Products

Independent coverage has identified Silly Nice products including infused flower, bubble hash and THCa concentrates.[1] The company's product portfolio is focused primarily on concentrated and infused cannabis formats.

Market presence

The New York State Office of Cannabis Management included Silly Nice in its 2024 market report. The report identified 513 cannabis brands operating in the New York market and ranked Silly Nice 146th among the 150 brands with the largest overall shares of reported sales. The ranking was based on sales reports submitted by licensed retailers for the week of February 9, 2025.[4]

Ownership and identity

Emerald Magazine included Silly Nice in a 2025 feature about queer-owned cannabis businesses in New York and identified Thomas and Breen as the company's founders.[1] Other coverage has described the company as Black-owned and veteran-owned.[3][2]
