The Saskatchewan SWAT are a Lacrosse Program in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan that was founded in 1999.[1][2] The SWAT have two junior lacrosse teams, both playing in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League in Junior A and Junior B Tier 1. The SWAT play their home games in Kinsmen Arena in Saskatoon. Since the establishment of the SWAT, they won bronze at the 2011 Founders Cup and hosted the tournament 3 times (2005, 2011, 2017).
In the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League, the SWAT have won the title twice (2015, 2022). [3] As of the 2026 PGLL season, the SWAT do not have a team in the league and currently only play in the RMLL Junior A and Junior B Tier 1 league.
In 2015, the Saskatchewan SWAT won the RMLL Junior B Tier 1 Championship becoming the first team outside of Alberta to be crowned champions of the RMLL. Going 2-1 in the round robin, losing to the Calgary Chill (2-6), then defeating the Manitoba Blizz (10-2) and the Red Deer Rampage (13-5) to advance to the final to defeat the Manitoba Blizz (13-8). The SWAT have developed many players who have gone on to be drafted into the NLL, with many going to the local team, the Saskatchewan Rush.[5][6][7]
