Ron Timehin (born August 1993) is a British photographer and director based in London. He is known for atmospheric urban imagery, portraiture, and commercial projects for global brands. His photobook London Fog was named a Photography Book of the Year by The Times.[1]
Early life and education
Timehin grew up in south London and began photographing while travelling as a young musician.[1] He later shifted his focus from music to photography.
Career
Timehin’s photography gained visibility on social media in the mid-2010s and led to commissions for editorial and commercial work.[1] He has photographed campaigns and collaborations for brands including Apple, Adobe, Nike, and Sony, and has presented talks and workshops at photography events across the United Kingdom and Globally at conferences such as Adobe MAX.[2]
In 2021 Timehin was an executive producer on the short documentary Fortitude, exploring the Black British experience.[3]
Work and style
The British Journal of Photography describes his photography as "moody [and] textural", and as offering a "considered, often atmospheric perspective on urban life".[1] He works in portraiture and urban photography and frequently discusses creative process and visual identity.[2]
