Early life, Education & Background

Raahi was born on 5 July 1997 in Mugalsaray village, Sironj, Madhya Pradesh. His father, Mangilal Ahirwar, is a teacher, and his mother, Kamar Bai, is a homemaker.[1]

He completed his primary education in Mugalsaray and later studied at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Shamshabad until completing Class XII. After completing Class XII, he returned briefly to Sironj before moving to Bhopal to pursue theatre. Although he secured admission to the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education for PCM Honours, he instead enrolled at Government Science and Commerce College, Bhopal.[2]

During his college years in 2015, Raahi became involved in theatre in Bhopal. He portrayed Batukeshwar Dutt in the play Hind-e-Bhagat, staged at Shaheed Bhavan in 2015.[2] He later joined Vihaan Drama Works, where he worked between 2016 and 2017, participating in stage productions such as Totto-Chan, Amrita, Prem Patanga, and The Story of Untitled Canvas.

In 2017, Raahi left theatre to pursue independent filmmaking and established Raahi Productions. He began producing short films for the production house's YouTube channel, including Aazadi, The Choice, Kirdaar and Notebook. Notebook was officially selected at the 9th edition of the Jagran Film Festival.[3]

In 2018, his poetry collection Chhaya was published by Bodhi Prakashan. Following the festival run of Notebook, he relocated to Mumbai to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Career

Early screen work (2020–2023)

Raahi began his screen acting career with a brief role in an episode of Crime Alert on Dangal TV (2020), followed by a small role in DD National's Kahani Veer Krantikariyon Ki in (2021).

After working briefly in acting roles, he also worked behind the camera as an assistant director and sound recordist while developing independent film projects. During the COVID-19 lockdown period, he returned to Bhopal and began working in film promotion and digital distribution.

In 2022, he acted in and produced the short films UnBlock and Hatya. UnBlock was selected for screening at an Australian film festival, and an interview with Raahi following its release was published by Dainik Bhaskar.

In 2023, Raahi created and appeared in the series Serious Talk, in which he portrayed different personalities in each episode. He later created and starred in the sitcom Ji Huzoor, where he played two characters per episode. Both series were released on YouTube and discontinued after two episodes each.[4] In the same year, Raahi was announced as the lead actor in the rural comedy film The Various Counselor, directed by Trinayan Sharma. The project was introduced during a poster launch event in Sironj, Madhya Pradesh.[5]

Vo Ladki and subsequent work (2024–present)

Raahi made his feature film debut as writer, producer and lead actor with Vo Ladki (2026). The screenplay originated from a draft written in 2017 and was substantially rewritten with Shubham Vishwakarma in 2020. The project was initially backed by an emerging OTT platform, but production stalled after financing collapsed during pre-production. Raahi later completed the film independently after working in digital marketing and distribution to finance the project, with Australian entrepreneur Dave Sidhu joining as co-producer.[2][6] Principal photography, which had originally begun in December 2020, resumed in February 2024. The film was completed after 27 shooting days across Tendu Kheda, Sironj and Bhopal.[7][8][9] Vo Ladki received a limited theatrical release at Reading Cinemas in Australia on 17 February 2026 before being released worldwide on YouTube on 10 June 2026.[10][6] Reviewing the film, News18 Hindi praised its emotional sincerity and performances while criticising its pacing and screenplay.[11]
