'''Luke Gamble''' is a British veterinary surgeon, charity founder and television presenter. He is the founder of the international animal welfare charity Worldwide Veterinary Service[1] and its associated rabies programme Mission Rabies[2].

Career

In 2003, Gamble founded Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS)[3], an organisation that provides veterinary support, training and medical supplies to animal welfare groups internationally to improve animal welfare. In 2013, the charity launched Mission Rabies, a programme focused on mass canine rabies vaccination campaigns in countries where the disease remains endemic.

He has appeared on television programmes about veterinary work, including the Sky series ''Vet Adventures''[4] and the National Geographic documentary ''T. Rex Autopsy''.[5]

Writing

Gamble is the author of ''The Vet'', a memoir about his experiences in veterinary practice and animal welfare work[6]. Gamble has written fiction for children and young readers and is identified by his publisher as the author of The Secret Animal Society series.[7]

Recognition

Gamble was included in The Independent on Sunday feature "Great Britons 2012", where he is described as a "TV vet and charity worker".[8]
