Lobsangsür or Lobsangshono was a Choros–Torghut military commander of the Dzungar Khanate and served for the Military of the Dzungar Khanate as a commander until a civil war for his father, Tsewang Rabtan's succession against his half-brother, Galdan Tseren. Whether he was killed by his half-brother or had fled to Volga and died there is disputed.
As a commander, he first joined his half-brother, Galdan Tseren against the Kazakhs, which they defeated the Kazakhs at the Lake Zaysan and the Shar-Us area. He later resumed his campaigns against the Kazakhs, which in the year 1723, he led an army against the Kazakh Khanate, which he defeated Kazakh militias on Tashkent, Sayram and Khara-Murut. From 1724 to 1725, he also defended the city of Turkistan from a militia of Abul Khair Khan. Which he was initially defeated and forced to flee to the Karatau Mountains on the Summer of 1724. He soon returned and defeated the Kazakhs on the Spring of 1725, which directly led to a new wave of Kazakh migrations into the north-western and northern regions of Kazakhstan.
