Overview
Lifeplus was founded in 1992 in Batesville, Arkansas by Bob Lemon, Bill Evans, Robert Christian, and Tim Nolan.[1][2] In 1996, Lifeplus Europe Ltd. was established in the United Kingdom as a subsidiary of Eurark, LLC.[2] The company is active primarily in North America, Asia, and Europe,[3] with its European logistics hub located in the Netherlands.[1][4] Lifeplus has its corporate headquarters in Batesville,[5] where dietary supplements are produced in formats such as powders, tablets, and capsules.[3]
Products
Lifeplus products include dietary and health supplements such as protein shakes, sports nutrition, multivitamins and omega-3 products. The range also covers skincare, personal care, anti-ageing and weight-management products, as well as a range of pet supplements, including chews, biscuits and sprays.[2][4][6]
Distribution
Lifeplus distributes its products through a combination of a direct-to-consumer model and a direct selling approach.[6] Independent members can qualify for commissions based on their sales activity.[7][8]
Partnerships
The company has established partnerships with Olympic athletes[9] and sports organizations,[10] including serving as the official wellness partner of the Austrian Athletics Federation,[11] Christian Taylor[12] and James Ellington.[13] Lifeplus also lists certain sports-related products on the Cologne List.[14]
Criticism
Dietary supplements such as those offered by Lifeplus are generally regarded as a useful complement to a balanced diet, particularly in cases of an established nutrient deficiency or specific dietary need.[6][8] As individual nutritional requirements vary, the benefit of supplementation depends on the personal circumstances of each user, and supplements are intended to support, not replace, a varied and balanced diet.[8]
