Hyperscience is an American software company that develops intelligent document processing (IDP) and enterprise automation software.[1] Founded in 2014 by Peter Brodsky, Krasimir Marinov, and Vladimir Tzankov, the company is headquartered in New York City and maintains engineering operations in Sofia, Bulgaria.[2]
The company develops software that uses machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing to automate the extraction, classification, and processing of information contained in business documents. Its products are used by organizations in industries including government, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and transportation.[3]
History
The company emerged from stealth in 2016 when it announced $18 million in Series A funding led by FirstMark Capital and Felicis Ventures. Early products focused on automating data entry and document-processing tasks through machine learning and computer vision technologies.[3]
In 2019 Hyperscience raised $30 million in Series B financing led by Stripes Group. At the time, the company consolidated several document-processing products into a unified platform designed to automate the conversion of human-readable information into machine-readable data.[1]
