Edward Barongo (born 20th century) is a Tanzanian politician known for his involvement in the country’s early multiparty political development following the reintroduction of multipartism in the early 1990s.
Barongo was a member of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) before becoming involved in the founding of the opposition party Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA). He is recorded as having been one of the signatories to the provisional registration of CHADEMA alongside other prominent political figures in 1992.[1]
