Deliverect is a Belgian software as a service (SaaS) company headquartered in Ghent that develops middleware for the hospitality industry.[1] Founded in 2018, the company provides a platform that integrates digital food orders from third-party delivery services—such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Glovo—directly into a restaurant's point of sale (POS) system.[2]

History and acquisitions

The company was co-founded by Zhong Xu, Jelte Vrijhoef, Jérôme Laredo, and Jan Hollez, who had previously developed cloud-based POS systems acquired by Lightspeed.[1] Deliverect's software acts as a central hub for order management, automating the flow of inbound digital requests to the kitchen to reduce manual entry errors.[3]

Deliverect has expanded through strategic acquisitions to diversify its product offerings. In May 2023, the company acquired ChatFood, a social commerce platform, to enhance its dine-in ordering and social media integration capabilities.[4] In December 2024, it acquired Tabesto, a French firm specializing in self-service kiosks and payment terminals, to expand its in-store digital solutions.[5]

Funding

In April 2021, the company raised $65 million in a Series C funding round led by DST Global and Redpoint Ventures.[6] Deliverect reached unicorn status in January 2022 following a $150 million Series D round led by Coatue Management and Alkeon Capital, which valued the company at $1.4 billion.[2]

Technology and operations

By July 2025, the company reported processing an accumulated total of one billion orders across its global network.[7] The company's platform is utilized by over 50,000 establishments globally, including partners such as Taco Bell, Burger King, and Unilever.[8]
