''David Butts''' is an Australian musician. He is best known as the blue member from the Australian children's act The Hooley Dooleys. Butts played multiple instruments for the group including saxophone, trumpet, flute, keyboards, clarinet and guitar. He also provideded vocals and songwriting for the group. Butts was the longest member remaining in the group from 1996 to 2009.
The Hooley Dooleys
During his early years of being a musician, Butts studied at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and became a music teacher. Butts loved his job teaching but he always preferred performing, so he decided to continue being a musician and performing gigs for all ages. By 1995-96, he got put together with band mates Bruce Thorburn and Antoine Demarest by their manager to form The Hooley Dooleys. Butts continued his solo musician career during the early days of the group until popularity started growing. By 2007, Butts was the only original member left in the group.
