June, better known by their[a] recording alias Cynthoni (formerly Sewerslvt) is an Australian electronic musician. Very little is known about June due to their low social media presence and hidden identity. They are based in Sydney, Australia.
Their work is often cited as influential to the breakcore and modern drum and bass scenes.
Biography
June first started making mashup music as Sadboy Sheldon. Following their gender transition, they began releasing music as Sewerslvt, making instrumental hip-hop music before venturing into drum and bass with their 2018 EP Sewer//Slvt. June has since deleted all of their music prior to 2019's Drowning in the Sewer, believing it to not be representative of June now.
In 2020, June faced backlash for the use of racial slurs for 2 album titles. They posted an apology to Twitter in December 2020, along with donating $2000 to the mutual aid collective the Okra Project.[2][non-primary source needed] Following this controversy as well as the death of their girlfriend, June released the album we had good times together, don't forget that before taking an indefinite hiatus.
June later returned in May 2024 as Cynthoni[‡ 3], with the EP Sewerslvt Presents: Cynthoni, Pt. 1 featuring a collab with VTuber Projekt Melody. Later that month, they produced two tracks off Bring Me The Horizon's Post Human: Nex Gen: "(OST) Dreamseeker" and "(OST) P.U.S.S.-E".
In 2025, June released Draining Love Story (In The Eyes Of Cynthoni), a remake of their 2020 Sewerslvt album Draining Love Story. The album featured reworked production and a retitled tracklist. This would be followed by a collaboration EP with Projekt Melody and an appearance on Danny Brown's track "The End", featured on Brown's album Stardust.
In December 2025, June released the mixtape LAMENTING MALICE exclusive to Bandcamp, Patreon & physical copies in protest of royalty rates and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek's investment in German defense technology company Helsing.[3][‡ 4] The mixtape is a precursor to June's upcoming debut album trilogy[‡ 5]
