CINTIMA (Cinematic Intimacy Artists),[1] a SAG-AFTRA accredited training program,[2] for Intimacy Coordinators.[3] The program emphasizes holistic, trauma-informed, and inclusive approaches to choreographed intimacy in creative-works for film, television and theatre and is built around the core values of courage, eroticism, artistry, and safety.[1][4]

In 2025, Megan Agnew wrote, "I went on an intimacy co-ordinator course — here’s what happened" for The Sunday Times. Similarly, Jennifer Wilson wrote, "How I Learned to Become an Intimacy Coördinator", for The New Yorker. Both authors attended CINTIMA coursework to learn about Intimacy coordination and the requirements for becoming certified in the vocation.[5][6]

CINTIMA Flicker Fest

Following a sold out inaugural festival, CINTIMA has announced the second annual Flicker Fest short film festival.[7]New guidelines are in effect for the 2026 festival with additional categories and film duration length from three minutes to seven minutes, following the "intimacy-as-art in cinema" theme.[8]

Intimacy coordinator controversy

...take the Gwyneth Paltrow situation, where she’s like, “We asked that intimacy coordinators step back and said, ‘We’re good.’” In my mind, that’s the relationship working out great. The intimacy coordinator did their job. [...] they created a space where the actors felt comfortable doing what they were doing. — Yehuda Duenyas
