Dezful County (Persian: شهرستان دزفول) is in Khuzestan Province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Dezful.[3]
History
After the 2006 National Census, the village of Shahrak-e Hamzeh was elevated to city status as Hamzeh.[4] In 2010, the village of Choghamish rose to city status as well.[5] Additionally, five rural districts were separated from Sardasht District in the establishment of Shahiyun District.
After the 2016 census, the village of Shahiyun rose to the status of a city.[8] The village of Eslamabad was elevated to city status as Jandi Shapur.[9] In 2019, the village of Shahrak-e Shahid Mohammad Montazeri was elevated to city status as Montazeran.[10]

Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 384,851 in 31,291 households.[11] The following census in 2011 counted 423,552 people in 107,746 households.[12] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 443,971, in 125,351 households.[2]
