Darryl Allan Ashmore (born November 1, 1969) is an American former professional football offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins. He was selected by the Rams in the seventh round of the 1992 NFL draft.[1] He played college football at Northwestern University.[2] The young tackle shared playing time for his first two years and eventually replaced the NFL Hall Of Famer Jackie Slater with the St. Louis Rams in 1995. At Northwestern, he garnered All-Big Ten Honors after switching to the offensive side as a senior and made the Dean's List academically.

Ashmore went on to have an 11-year career in the NFL despite suffering a career-threatening injury his junior season as a defensive end... He was a force in the Big-Ten Conference the prior seasons and NFL prospect ....At Peoria High School ,the young lineman was one of the highly rated players in the state and a consensus All-Stater his senior year.... He garnered recruiting interest and offers from top programs in the Midwest and the South.. The student athlete was named a CSA All-American and received the Scholar Athlete of the Year in the Peoria Tri-county area.
