At the time of the 2001 census, the parish population was 414 people,[1] increasing to 422 at the 2011 census.[2]
History
The parish was formed on 1 April 1935 from "Cranford St Andrew", "Cranford St John" and part of Barton Seagrave.[3] The name "Cranford" means 'Crane/heron ford'.[4] Cranford was recorded in the Domesday Book as Craneford.[5]
