The Eparchy of Saint Thomas the Apostle is a Chaldean Catholic diocese in Sydney , Australia , and is immediately subject to the Holy See .
The eparchy was created in 2006.[ 1] Djibrail Kassab was appointed bishop at that time;[ 2] he was based in Basrah , Iraq before he was posted to Oceania . His bishopric currently sits as St. Thomas the Apostle Chaldean Catholic Church, Bossley Park , New South Wales .
In 2015, he was succeeded by Archbishop Amel Shamon Nona .[ 3]
