Bowling Green Township is one of twenty townships in Fayette County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 412 and it contained 176 housing units.[1]
Geography
According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Bowling Green Township has a total area of 25.53 square miles (66.12 km2), all land.[2]

Demographics
As of the 2020 census[1] there were 412 people, 111 households, and 101 families residing in the township. The population density was 16.14 inhabitants per square mile (6.23/km2). There were 176 housing units at an average density of 6.89 per square mile (2.66/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 99.27% White, 0.24% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.49% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.00% of the population.
There were 111 households, out of which 56.80% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.86% were married couples living together, 0.00% had a female householder with no spouse present, and 9.01% were non-families. 9.00% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.00% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.00 and the average family size was 3.06.
The township's age distribution consisted of 34.8% under the age of 18, 1.5% from 18 to 24, 14.4% from 25 to 44, 30.6% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43.5 years. For every 100 females, there were 168.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 130.9 males.
