Bowie, Colorado

Bowie is an unincorporated community in Delta County, in the U.S. state of Colorado.[1]

History

The Bowie, Colorado, post office operated from February 5, 1907, until July 14, 1967.[2] The community was named after Alexander Bowie, the proprietor of a local mine.[3]

Geography

Bowie is located at coordinates 38°55′17″N 107°32′24″W / 38.9214°N 107.5401°W / 38.9214; -107.5401 (Bowie, Colorado).[4]
