Although 100% of any book listed is not necessarily devoted to fly fishing, all these titles have significant fly fishing content. According to Paul Schullery, Matching The Hatch set the standard for fly entomology and tying studies for the late 20th Century.^[9]

Gierach is so laid back he almost vanishes from sight and maybe this is the secret of his writing.
