Prior to being elected as a Member of Parliament, he was a Councillor in Flint, Wales,[2] where he held the position of Deputy Mayor and, later, Mayor of the town.[citation needed] Prior to being selected as the Labour candidate for South Norfolk he sought the nomination for the Clwyd East constituency, losing out to Becky Gittins.
Personal life
In 2024, Goldsborough revealed that he lives at home with his parents in Snetterton, and that this shaped his belief in the need for new housing developments.[3]
