Axel Thurel Sahuye Guessand (born 6 November 2004) is a French professional footballer who plays as a defender for Italian Serie A club Udinese.[1]

Club career

Guessand is a youth academy graduate of Nancy. He made his professional debut for the club on 28 August 2021, in a 4–1 league defeat against Auxerre.[2] At the age of 16 years, 9 months and 22 days, he became the youngest player to ever feature in a professional match for Nancy.[3]

On 1 July 2022, Guessand joined Serie A club Udinese on a three-year deal.[4] He made his first-team debut on 4 June 2023, starting in a 1–0 league loss against Juventus.[5][6] In January 2024, he joined Eredivisie club Volendam on loan for the remainder of the season.[7]

Guessand is a French youth international.[8]
