The men's decathlon event at the 1990 Commonwealth Games was held on 28 and 29 January at the Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland.[1]

Results

  The highest mark recorded in each event is highlighted in yellow. The gold medallist, Mike Smith, won five events and placed second in the remaining five -- a remarkable achievement.
