Amit Agarwal (born 23 October 1976) is an Indian film producer and editor, known for his work in Bengali and Hindi cinema.[1] He is the founder of Adarsh Telemedia.[2][3]

Early life

Agarwal was born on 23 October 1976 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.[4][5]

Career

In 2007, Agarwal served as the technical director for the Bengali film Trishna, starring Rituparna Sengupta.[4]

Agarwal debuted as a producer with the Bengali film Astra (2012), where he also worked as an editor and technical director. The film won him the Best Producer (Debut) award at the 22nd Kalakar Awards.[1][6][7]

In Hindi cinema, he collaborated with Inspired Entertainment and cricket icon MS Dhoni to co-produce M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). He later produced content-driven films such as Simran (2017) and Vartak Nagar (2018).[8][9]

Agarwal's directorial debut, Ajooba, is an animation film in Hindi and English. The movie, featuring voice talents like Gulshan Grover, Tisca Chopra, and Mukesh Khanna.[8][10][11]
