Allan Kato, commonly known as "1Big Allan" is a Ugandan social entrepreneur and activist.[1][2] He founded the nonprofit organisation Allan Children's Foundation in 2019.[3] Through the foundation he provides aid to the less privileged children in Uganda.[2][4]

Early life and education background

He grew up in the slums of Kikoni, a Kampala surbub. He attended Makerere Primary School and Kasubi Family Primary School for Primary level and later joined New Styles S.S for high school.[4]

Career

Iniatially, Kato was a digital content creator however after dropping from school he started an NGO under the name of Allan Children's Foundation in 2019, a foundation that takes care of about more than 500 children from the slums of Kampala.[5][6] In 2024, he set up a vocational skilling centre in Wakiso that teaches youths vocational skills.[7][8][9]
