2024–25 Virginia Cavaliers women's basketball team
Intercollegiate basketball season
The 2024–25 Virginia Cavaliers women's basketball team will represent the University of Virginia during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I women's basketball season . The Cavaliers will be led by third-year head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton , and will play their home games at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference .
Previous season
The Cavaliers finished the season 16–16 overall and 7–11 in ACC play to finish in a tie for tenth place. As the eleventh seed in the ACC tournament , they lost to fourteenth seed Wake Forest in the first round. They received an at-large invitation to the inaugural WBIT .[ 1] As a fourth seed they defeated High Point in the first round before losing to first seed Villanova to end their season.
