NHL team season
The 2018–19 Edmonton Oilers season was the 40th season for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on June 22, 1979,[ 2] and 47th season including their play in the World Hockey Association (WHA). The Oilers were eliminated from playoff contention on April 1, 2019, after the St. Louis Blues ' shootout win against the Colorado Avalanche ,[ 3] missing the playoffs for the second consecutive season and for the twelfth time in the past thirteen seasons.
