The 2006 Nationwide Tour was the 17th season of the Nationwide Tour, the official development tour to the PGA Tour.
OWGR points increase
In July 2005, the Official World Golf Ranking announced that the minimum points awarded to Nationwide Tour events, beginning in 2006, would be increased from 6 to 14.[1]
Schedule
The following table lists official events during the 2006 season.[2][3]
The money list was based on prize money won during the season, calculated in U.S. dollars.[4][5] The top 22 players on the money list earned status to play on the 2007 PGA Tour.[6]
^The number in parentheses after each winner's name is the number of Nationwide Tour events they had won up to and including that tournament. This information is only shown for Nationwide Tour members. It is rare for someone to accumulate many wins on the Nationwide Tour as success at this level usually leads to promotion to the PGA Tour.
