2000–01 Florida Panthers season
National Hockey League team season
The 2000–01 Florida Panthers season was their eighth season in the National Hockey League . After making the playoffs in 2000 , the Panthers failed to qualify for the playoffs in 2001.
Regular season
After an 6–18–7–5 start, general manager Bryan Murray and head coach Terry Murray were fired on December 28. Duane Sutter was named the team’s new head coach.[ 1]
