Exhibition basketball game
The 1978 NBA All-Star Game was an exhibition basketball game which was played on February 5, 1978, at the Omni Coliseum in Atlanta. The MVP of the game was Randy Smith, who scored 27 points. The game was officiated by Jake O'Donnell and Jim Capers.
Coaches
Billy Cunningham, head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, qualified as the head coach of the Eastern All-Stars. Jack Ramsay, head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, qualified as the head coach of the Western All-Stars.
