NBA professional basketball team season
The 1954–55 New York Knicks season was the team's ninth year in the National Basketball Association (NBA). During the regular season , the Knicks achieved a 38–34 record, securing second place in the Atlantic Division .[ 1] This performance earned New York its ninth consecutive NBA playoff berth.[ 2] The Knicks lost in the best-of-three first round to the Boston Celtics , 2–1.[ 1]
