To "In the Pines" (γνωστό και ως "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" ή και "Black Girl") είναι ένα παραδοσιακό αμερικανικό τραγούδι, το οποίο προέρχεται από δύο άλλα τραγούδια το "In the Pines" και το "The Longest Train", των οποίων είναι άγνωστος ο συνθέτης και χρονολογείται τουλάχιστον από τη δεκαετία του 1870. Το κομμάτι έχει απαλαχιανές ρίζες.[1][2]

Πολλοί καλλιτέχνες διαφορετικών ειδών το έχουν διασκευάσει και το έχουν ηχογραφήσει. Περισσότερο το κομμάτι έχει συνδεθεί με την εκτέλεση των Lead Βelly και Μπιλ Μονρό.[3] Άλλη αξιοσημείωτη διασκευή έγινε από τους The Four Pennies, η οποία κυκλοφόρησε και ως single και έφτασε στην πρώτη εικοσάδα των βρετανικών charts.[4] Επίσης, άλλη μία αξιόλογη εκτέλεση ήταν μία ζωντανή εκτέλεση των Nirvana, το 1993.
